Do you have a child with big feelings and you’re not sure what to do about it? Do you even struggle with controlling your own big emotions?
Interestingly, many of us were not taught how to become more self-aware, understand our own feelings, or how to prevent our emotions from controlling us.
And many times, parents are actually afraid of their child’s big emotions. But this only makes things worse as they tip toe around their child or avoid addressing emotions altogether.
It is best to understand why your child is feeling the way they are and then normalize their feelings. Because they ARE normal! We don’t want to let our kids feel isolated just because their feelings are sometimes stronger than others.
Today, Rachel Bailey and I are discussing big emotions, how to identify if your child has big feelings, and steps on how to turn your family dynamic around and happily coexist once again.
